A day in the life of our Applications Engineer

  • You are outcome driven and obsessive about the customer.
  • You are a great communicator, with an ability to articulate complex problems.
  • You are resourceful, where necessary being able to "get your hands dirty" by creating how-to guidelines, instructions and even small code or query examples.
  • You are a great listener and able to really understand what the partner is trying to achieve, even if this differs from what they might be asking for.
  • You are someone with great judgement and determining the best approach to solving a problem in resourceful and timely fashion.
  • You are able to work across different teams and disciplines, bringing people together to help break through roadblocks and deliver.
  • You care about the user experience, helping to improve and support it at all stages in the customer journey.
  • You are adaptable, relish new challenges and thrive when juggling multiple balls at once.

Who We're Looking For

  • Have worked for 3+ years in a customer-facing or technical role.
  • Have a technical background, ideally with some level of software development experience.
  • Be experienced in writing user facing documentation, creating how-to guides, code / query snippets and examples.
  • Have experience with cloud-based products, understanding the importance of onboarding and bringing customers on a journey.
  • Have hands-on experience with the testing and usage of systems including APIs, user-facing applications or web sites.
  • You should hold a Bachelors / Masters / Doctorate Degree in information technology, engineering or a related field.

Preferred Technology Experience

  • Working previously in a product manager or application engineer role.
  • Ensuring quality web experiences, especially those web sites authored with ReactJS.
  • Test systems spanning both unit- and system-level testing.
  • Scripting, customizing or testing using GraphQL and/or REST APIs.
  • Programming, especially with Python or C#.
  • Electronics design, CAD or data management tools.
